Most people don’t her u.s. at all.
And, given the lack of results, I bet that your wireless buds kill the subliminal messages (sometimes they do, sometime they don’t, depends on the protocol your particular setup uses, hence the different experiences.) Quote by Shannon: Quote:Bluetooth is a question mark. Different companies do it different ways, and some of them work for subliminals and some don't. I personally wouldn't use it. I use my phone speakers directly, but cabled speakers will be even better since they're stereo.

If so, then you're almost certainly going to damage your ears at those volumes using earbuds. If not, then you're listening to silence. The question of whether you can hear it or not only matters in that sense, because if your earbuds are producing ultrasonic audio, then you can hear it. Even if your conscious mind is unaware of that fact. That is, in fact, how and why ultrasonic subliminals work. Fab10 brings up a good point also, and using earbuds at those volumes with ultrasonic should be producing horrible tinnitus. That makes me think you may have accidentally been saved by crappy bluetooth compression stripping out the subliminal audio entirely.

In that case why did I not develop any tinnitus at all? (Not that I want any!) These wired earbuds do have a minimum upper frequency of 20khz btw. If they're wired, then it can't be an issue of Bluetooth, of course, which seriously makes me wonder about the lack of tinnitus. Perhaps you're an exceptional individual. But the fact remains that if they are producing sound, those levels will be far too loud. So go back and do as I suggested: play the ocean surf track through them, and adjust it to a volume that is comfortable, where you can hear the quietest areas of the ocean at least faintly. Then lower the volume by one more notch and use that for the ultrasonic, if you must use that format. To use any other format, you don't need that extra last click down.

I'd suggest using the speaker test file on the IML site as well. Could be possible that the buds aren't producing the ultrasonic audio, regardless of being "advertised" as being able to go up to 20,000. I've had that in the past. Actually testing the specific equipment yourself, is the only way to know for sure in the end. We're listening to pretty niche stuff here admittedly, nobody in a normal situation would have audio at such high frequencies, so we have to kinda work it out amongst ourselves at times. Just to add another dimension to this to find a solution.

FrequenSee is also helpful to see if those frequencies are actually being generated, besides being helpful to calibrate the volume.

When I turn it up to high volumes I hear it, so I assume that means it IS producing the US audio, but when I turn it down (4-6/15) i dont hear anything. Does that mean I need to turn it up so I can consciously hear it at least a little or is it ok that I dont really hear anything.

Or that was too loud a volume selected and they distorted. Also make sure any EQ or other related settings are set to default/off, that can cause distortion etc. too. Look at my previous post and test the buds with the IML file. It's a free download.
