It is possible to be confident in directions where you do not have OCD. OCD is based in a subconscious anxiety loop that feeds back into itself. Typically normal "logic" goes like this:
Quote:I am worried that someone might break into my house. > I have to lock the door.>I lock the door.>I am safe now.
This is where someone who is "normal" would stop. But someone who has OCD about this action and insecurity would follow a logic train that looks like this:
Quote:I am worried that someone might break into my house. > I have to lock the door.>I lock the door.>I am worried that someone might break into my house.>I have to lock the door.>The door is locked.>I am worried that someone might break into my house.>I have to make sure the door is locked.>I am worried that someone might break into my house.>I have to make sure the door is locked.>I am worried that someone might break into my house.>I have to make sure the door is locked.
Absolute Self Confidence will not correct OCD. The issue is much more complex and challenging than ASC can deal with, which is why I suggested E2.
