How do you think DMSI v5 should be handled?

One of the considerations that must be decided regarding DMSI v5 is how to price it.  There are differing opinions about this, so I'd like to do a poll here to see what the community thinks.

Please vote and provide any additional feedback possible.  I'd like this to be as fair as possible for both you all and me when I do this.

Huh. Now that's a doozy and I'm gonna say the poll is kinda unexpected. I was already saving up to pay full price; heck, I was saving up to buy the previously planned Premium edition (because I wanna see this through to the end ).

But I voted for option: "Everyone who has previously purchased any version of DMSI should get whatever percentage off they assess is fair. according to the results they have achieved with it.*"

But I personally would not base it on "what results I got", but mostly due to the time, effort and emotional and personal cost of running all version back from ver. 1 dilligently and consistently and reporting on what I experienced regularily. I did commit a lot of time and effort to testing them and giving whatever feedback I found valuable, both as a means of getting to "DMSI-Final" with consistent end-goal results, as well as a way of furthering the development of subliminal technology.

Also, personally, I'd put a cap on the percentage off. Like, I dunno, up to 50% off?

I think the % off for previous purchasers, since it's a balance between DMSI being planned to be upgraded until it was working for most people and the huge amount of effort and work put into it over time, with alot of upgrades over that time.

The % off chosen by the user depending on their results, coming from the guy who sees all of the things people try to do on the backend I can only see that going wrong and some people taking advantage of it.

I am not necessarily going to go with the one that gets the most votes, but at the very least I am going to strongly consider the results of this poll before I make my choice. The goal is fairness, and that does not exclude me and what I have put into it for time, effort and quite literally burning out twice over it. This is the only program that has ever burned me out.

But I want to consider all points of view and I want to know how many people think each option is the best option.

I remember when watching Starcraft 2 tournament commentary - i remember distinctively, someone said - the reason Starcraft 2 is so watchable is because the commentary explains things to viewers in basic terms thats very welcoming for new watchers, and a great validation to experience players to listen to the fundamentals again..

As a somewhat not so new lurker on these forums now - and someone who has looked through the forums to figure out DMSI is a while before...
And DID find the answer eventually somewhere deep somewhere..

I have since forgotten what DMSI means.
And after numerous clicks on the forum to try and find the answer - to no easy conclusion what DMSI meant again...

I assume this is a typo, and DMSI will be a single stage?

Personally I would pay full price for it, as long as it had FRM.

I selected 1.0 gets it free, everyone else gets a percentage off based on which version they bought. I could be biased since I have version 1.0, but I tried to be fair and this sounded the most fair. Maybe the similar option that specifies those who purchased 3.5 first shouldn’t get a discount is the correct one, but I slightly leaned towards the other.

The people who stuck with the experiment the longest getting rewarded seems fair to me. A flat percentage would be less fair in my view, but perhaps less of a headache to manage.

Other than that I think 650$ per stage is fine instead.

Personally I would pay full price for it, as long as it had FRM.

I said that because I don't know yet if it will need 1 or 2 variants.  A and B.  I am planning to build it with either FRM or OGSF included, in as few variants as possible.  But I have not run this through the models yet.  So just in case.

If you want to pay full price, then just do that.  Otherwise, you can request whatever price reduction option I end up choosing.  Nobody's going to force you to pay more if you want to. 

But seriously, if you think that's fair for you, I appreciate that level of fairness and honesty.

There's no "correct one".  I'm trying to understand what my customers' point of view is, and how many people hold each point of view.

We will have to look it up, it's been so long I don't remember if it was DMSI v1.0 or DAOSI.

As a customer for nearly ten years, I was excited by the announcement of 6G dmsi, I voted in favor of providing the 6G version free to everyone who purchased before version 3.5, based on the promise made at the time of my initial purchase. This promise was a primary reason I bought the product back then, particularly with my limited budget.
While I understand Shannon's need to generate revenue, fulfilling that original promise to early supporters is important.
Due to significant price increases over the years, I haven't been able to purchase any new subliminals in roughly two years.
it's deeply disappointing to me that the current pricing for 6G now creates a barrier preventing a long-term customer like me from accessing these latest advancements as I have been excited about the development of 6G for this long.
