Heck, according to this legal opinion I read recently, even using PUA tactics - like pseudo-hypnotic speech, NLP - which is a scam - and the like - would be illegal, and used as a way of sexual seduction would consitute attempted sexual assault, because you're trying to override someone's right to give or withdraw consent).
Just keep your justice system intact and corporations in check.
The idea that these kinds of people will stop because it’s against the law is laughable to me. They would just throw an ultrasonic on, and nobody would be the wiser. The difference between the past and the potential future I’m talking about is that these people/grouops will have proof that subliminals can work and work extremely well, so there will be people/groups that will pursue it, instead of vaguely using trash subliminals of questionable efficacy, if they even use any at all.
Any cellphone with a halfway-decent recording device would pick up ultrasonic. Subliminals are far from undetectable.
They would stop if it's against the law if they were getting prosecuted for it and faced actual consequences, and not friendly slaps on the wrist, as they usually do. Law is only as effective as its enforcement. We just gotta make sure people face the music instead of enabling them.
