You can be freaked out by something without being scared of it. Like I said before, obese women with moustaches create no fear in me whatsoever, but the thought of sleeping with one would freak me out.
Also the thought that you have about being freak out have no purpose, it's limitation in your mind. Whether it's gay males, or women with moustaches, or snakes or anything, if you are freak out by this thoughts it means you think about it, and it's likely a fear or something really close to that. An healthy individual doesn't think about those things, it's useless, let's say you really sleep with a moustaches girl, what would it do to you, would you die? would you get aids? It's all in your mind anyway.
I can give you another example my brother has some fear about sharks, every time he sees a shark on TV he freak out and lose his rationality, then he goes watching video about shark on internet, wasting his time basically. Well I call that a fear, it's irrational and serve no purpose, the shark is not even there to begin with, he saw it on TV but still he behaves irrationally even when he is at home.
