I think of it this way...these are people who would likely not even use the 5G because of the money and time investment. So the 4G would give them a taste of what your subs can do. Once they feel the effects of the 4G and wish to grow and expand out more, they can move onto the 5G and feel the subs full effects.
You wouldn't be losing money with people buying the 4G instead of the 5G, but rather gaining those who wouldn't have bought at all. The 4G acts as a sample in this case for those who are curious and just can't fathom a $500 investment for something they might not even believe in anyway (some of the people i know are really skeptical of subs period).
