You don't have a volume button on that phone? It's still going to be between 7 and 15 "clicks", but without a volume button you can't be very precise about setting it or even counting it.
Quote:So my best option would be 100/15 =6.66*12=79.92 so 80. So on my vlc media player through my computer maybe 80% volume is a good volume to try through hybrid ocean surf when i start my 3rd cycle on sunday?
Since there is no way for me to get 12 on my phone like you mention that im aware of thats the best i can come up with to try.
Unless you have a different opinion?
The volume that is optimal on a phone does not translate to the optimal volume on a computer. A phone has one volume control, and a computer may have 3+. 80% in VLC on a computer means nothing, because what volume are your speakers set to? What volume is the system volume set to? Do you have anything else altering the volume? And did you know that VLC's volume slider goes to 200% in some cases?
That's why you need to measure by decibels. On my phone, the volume reported by FrequenSee at 12/15 on an ultrasonic is ~-41 dB. That measurement depends on how far the microphone is from the source of the audio. In the case of my POS phone, it's facing down at the bottom of the phone, while the speaker is on the upper right corner. Diagonally, they are about 4" apart, but how does the direction of each and the placement adjust that? I don't know. I do know that it has held true for my J3 and it was also true on my Galaxy S phones.
