BASE isn't cursed. It's just how these super complex six stage 5G sets go for building. It takes a long time, and every little thing has to be checked and rechecked, and errors are found and fixed, and life gets in the way sometimes. It's part of why they cost what they do, and why I don't like building them. But once I start a six stage 5G set and get going, nothing stops me. It will be done. It's just taking longer than expected, partly because it's more complex than expected, partly because I was not expecting to have to deal with my grandfather's change in situation and partly because I am also working on the MPME at the same time. The MPME is continuing to fascinate me, but I can't work on it much because of BASE.
One of the good things about the 5G build process is that it forces everything to be looked through with a fine tooth comb six or seven times. That means that I spend time fixing things, optimizing things, and so forth, also. It takes longer, but it means that the end result is always exactly what I wanted and intended it to be script-wise. Errors don't make it through that process.
Good things come to those who are patient, and those who persist. :-)
