First, the subliminal will work regardless of your conscious intentions. Your affirmations will create a placebo effect, but a placebo IS an effect, regardless of the source. If you feel good doing it, and you're seeing a result, there's no reason to stop.
Second, don't mix. No. Really. DON'T MIX. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Everyone seems to get a hard-on about how powerful the subs are, and they want to run them all. Don't be that guy. Pick one, and pursue it for 3-6 months. If you're satisfied with achieving the goal of that sub, pick a new one that you want to try next.
Correction. If the script of the sub conflicts with the script of the affirmations - which is possible without being obvious to someone who isn't a skilled and experienced scriptwriter - they can cause unintended, unexpected, and undesirable effects in their interactions. This may not become obvious until days, weeks or even months later, as I can attest from firsthand experience, and this is why I am so careful with scripting and interactions.
