i don't really peruse women all that much either. That sounds like a good way as well, ill keep it noted for future prospects. 
This one time a girl i went to school with ended up sitting at our table when we were at the bar i used to go to. i was there with a friend from school and i asked him if that was so and so and of course it was. Well he was full of neediness and kept complementing her assets. I would change the subject to other stuff. Well she sat in the chair next to me vs my friend and looks at me and says hey whats your number so we can go hang out some time. Completely ignoring my friend. This was right at the beginning of my affirmation process. i wasn't nearly as confident as i am now but thought it was weird it was my first time from some one that is not a friend.
