What's about automated backups? They could be done after you leave the office. They would save you some time.
Given certain specifics of how I back up, and how I must back up, that's not an option. I use multiple layers of encryption and there's no way to automate the encryption and decryption process for that without defeating the security value. Plus, I have my laptop at home and at the office.
As it stands now, I only make backups when I am leaving for the night, or going to bed for the night, which takes care of the problem, but occasionally my gut instinct will tell me... there's a problem coming, better make a backup - NOW. And I have learned that when that happens, I heed it or I suffer. So, this is one of those unusual situations where I had that happen, and then had the power fail a few times on me during the backup.
