Okay guys, after searching long and hard, I finally found some great speakers to play subs on.
Here they are: Logic3 i-Station
These are affordable, compact, with 20khz frequency response and stereo sound. I have this dock in my room and just leave the subs on repeat 24/7. This way you don't have to worry about putting subs on every night or recharging because it's mains operated. As an added bonus it also charges your ipod at the same time so you kill two birds with one stone
I also ordered some of these earbuds: Creative Labs EP-630
Bought these for travelling. They are comfortable and stay in the ear so it would probably be possible to sleep in them although I'm yet to try. They are high quality and have a frequency response of 23khz.
