Hmm. I don't know about the money thing. Sure it is good but you don't have to spend a lot of money with a woman. My ex always told me she would never pay for a guy...well now she pays me weekly to come visit. I'm completely broke but yet I manage to get a few bucks here and there to go out with a woman. It doesn't have to be expensive and for the most part you can always spend your time at her place 
Overall, the most attractive thing to a woman isn't the money you make or the job you hold necessarily, it's about your dreams, goals, and ambitions. If you're working for something great for yourself, she'll love that.
All the years I wasted putting myself in debt by buying clothes, going out left and right, spending money on dates. When all it takes is about 10 bucks for a single drink.
