I think if I was listening to ocean waves during the night I would inevitably decide at some point to stop listening, no matter how comfortable the sleepphones or whatever may be. My capacity to listen to noise, or even music, is finite. But silent ultrasonics can go on forever without bothering me. Those runphones appeal to me though, even for music.
Mind you, the sub I have playing now is only for my wife and doesn't apply to me (script: "If I am female...") - so if I got sleepphones I could listen to something different for myself. That'd be awesome.
As for my thoughts, Chachacha, on speakers - I'd say, don't care too much about it. Just set the speakers on whatever and relax, they'll do their job - no need to obssess over it. You might improve it a little bit by fussing over the speaker location and position, but I wouldn't consider it worth it. Whether you sleep on your side or on your back or whatever, all the more so - forget about it. Sleep whatever way you find comfortable, don't worry, your brain will get all the sub intake it needs. Thats my 2 cents.
