I don't really know what stage 2 is doing, but today i've had the strongest urge to stop than I have so far and even briefly wanted to go and look at some other audios which I didn't as I forgot until now.
I'm getting fucking sick of many things, this is a classic example. Society/TV/Ads/Authorities etc constantly go on about "respecting women" (e.g no matter what, all the time, no exceptions is how they present it) yet I see things much worse said to men by these women who are basically given a free pass and taught "all men should respect me" while being very directly disrespectful.
A masculinity guy I follow made a post criticuing another post from a guy who said "men, when you have a daughter you should become more feminist". Translation - "when you have a daughter cut your testicles off".
Anyway, a woman replied on it saying first something like "all men should automatically respect women, be raised to respect women etc" "that's not what he's saying (related to something else he said about it) why are you so dumb".
Is this a joke? She starts with this nonsense "all men should be raised to respect women" while being very blatantly and directly disrespectful to this man who wrote a normal post pushing back against something, there was nothing crazy or 'rude' about his inital post that should offend anyone.
I try not to reply on social media anymore as it achieves nothing, I used to get into big arguments and it 'felt' like I was doing something but nothing was actually happening.
It got me, I replied harshly and I had the same pattern, I noticed I was trying to work on something else but I kept wanting to check back for a reply. So I went back and deleted it and blocked her as it's achieving nothing. I would have been happy though if it was in person to said that thing to her.
Boys are being taught to 'respect women no matter what' growing up, to be 'allies' to women, and all this other shit to weaken them and girls are taught to be disrespectful to men, so called 'assertive' (which in this case ends up just being a disrespectful bitch in reality, not actually assertive) and that they can do and say anything and any guy who doesn't like it is 'abusive'.
At the same time boys are raised and taught in school to be 'vulnerable, compassionate, respectful, empathetic' (insert all the other buzzwords) and nothing ever about 'strength' which is actually ridiculed and attacked.
YET.. girls are being raised and taught in school to be "strong, independent, assertive, a bad ass, 'bad bitch' (and all the other dumb shit).
It's a complete fucking inversion. Basically taking all the shit they attack men for and go on about 'toxic masculinity' they are taking it all, dialling it up and making it even worse and telling women "this is how you should be" which is 1,000x more 'toxic' in women and doesn't match what a feminine vibe should be whatsover.
Whenever I come across a 'men's group' locally I have a look, I was looking at this page for one that does a dinner and watching videos of peoples experiences. It's basically prioritizing 'vulnerability' like it's the number 1 thing, and never talking about strength. Then talking about "you just sit there and hold space and listen, you aren't expected to have a solution". Where's the challenging each other? Where's the learning from guys who are more experienced and better in an area than you are to teach you, call you out and help you improve? No just listen to each other cry about everything.
No matter how much these guys push 'vulnerability' if you went there the first time and started actually crying, they would lose respect for you. There's this stupid 'vulnerability is strength' nonsense, when the actual definition means the complete opposite.
