Making sure it's loud enough to be effective by using an app on a phone like Frequensee, or the app I use that can also measure ultrasonic, SPLnFFT.Does this app need to be used on another phone and I just put that phone next to the one playing the sub is this how it works? What should be the level showing on the app that is recommend? I do 16 clicks on my iphone that's 2 less than the max this is what I remember Shannon recommending.
That's what I do with SPLnFFT, yes. Then I set the "second" phone with the app to where my ears would go for headphones, or where my head is for when listening to loops with the first phone, ultrasonic speaker. That way I have an accurate figure for the volume. SPLnFFT lists it clearly in decibels, and also shows the safety of the volume and how long one could listen to it without issue. I tend to go for 70ish decibels on the high end with headphones (hybrid), but at least 60-65 decibels on the low end with the speakers minimum (ultrasonic). It's a bit quieter with the phone, due to distance and also volume from the device itself. Overall, the two levels seem beefy and at the maximum safe level for hearing.
