I probably gave the wrong impression. When I said success with the sites, I meant in terms of satisfaction rather than number of messages. If you're not satisfied with the results of online dating.. maybe you are doing something wrong. Nothing is wrong with YOU inherently, but it's a fantastic tool and maybe it's not being used to it's full potential by you. And yes, as a man you'll have to use it differently than I do as a woman.
It is a fact that men are going to have to take initiative online and do the message sending. It's rare that I am inspired to send a message, but I do when the profile is compelling enough and I get that intuitive feeling. And to get a response, there has to be a compelling reason to respond.
