I decided to switch to hybrid. Shall I go back down to one loop at 13/15?

You can start with that but then follow the urge as i've said. If feel that you want to listen more do so as that's the autoconfig module kicking in.

What would be a good volume for hybrid on phone speakers? 13/15 is loud.
Should it be high enough to hear the faintest parts? Like somewhere around 4/15?

If AutoConfig is not guiding you, make sure you can hear the faintest parts of the ocean surf audio and that the highest levels are not too loud.  If needs be, you can adjust it from there.

Generally speaking, 4/15 is a very, VERY low volume.  As in, too low to motivate the vast majority of people sufficiently. If that does not produce results, then try using it at a volume that is just below the volume at which the ultrasonic is too loud.
