It's about why women moan during sexual intercourse - short story it's because it works as an invitation to other men to copulate.
Don't know really how it fits into the alpha man-framework, Shannon maybe can share some thoughts on that (if it's even relevant in some way).
That is an overly simplistic interpretation. That may be part of it, but there's more to it than that, even if that is true.
I think it's easily as likely, if not moreso, that one or more of the following are true:
- Her moaning is designed to arouse the man she is having sex with to the maximum, so he will achieve a faster, orgasms. Faster orgasms don't get you eaten by lions and tigers and bears quite as much as tens-of-minutes or hours long sex sessions. If we are talking evolutionary science here, we have to remember that we didn't evolve with bedrooms to protect us. Sex had to be fast, because we had to stay alive. If you have ever witnessed horses having sex, for example, you'll see what evolution thinks of long sex sessions.
- More sexual arousal = more pleasurable orgasms for him, which are designed to make him prefer to have sex with her, instead of some other female.
- The more powerful your arousal and orgasm, the more sexual fluids you produce, which results in more sperm ending up in her, instead of stuck in your seminal vesicles or urethra. If it only takes one, and the odds are stacked against you even if you are putting 14,500,000 sperm into her on average per go, then every one counts.
- Moaning also serves to indicate acceptance of the male she is having sex with, and telling him she is enjoying it and that he is doing the right thing to achieve impregnation. Again, remember that in the "good old days", people didn't know that sex = babies. It was all running purely on instinct. Her moans are instinctual, and his responses to them are as well.
- Indicating acceptance and pleasure may also act as a sort of instinctual invitation for sex again at a later date, or at least "leaving the door open" for that possibility.
- A guy who can cause her to moan involuntarily will necessarily have to have the right size tools to trigger that response. At that point, how do we know that she is not potentially indicating to other females, "Hey, this guy has it big enough to be worth mating with!"
- Women moan when they are in long term committed relationships and alone with their lovers. Maybe it's also a natural response to being touched in a sufficiently intimate and pleasurable way?
