I got mine 2013 and it's still functioning awesomely. Can run latest photoshop and stuff. Hoping it will last to 2023 then i'll buy the top of the line one for the next 10 years.

I think the fact that you can keep a mac for this long without having to replace the laptop every 2 years prices it the same as getting any other computer using a different OS system which keeps needing replacement.
Yeah probably. Let say a top of the line mac cost $2500 and works 10 years, that $250 depriciation every year. A pretty good PC goes at, what $500? And is good for maybe 2 years. so $250 per year. Not a very big difference if you have the cash. You can probably rent/lease a mac, at least in my country. And then you get a pretty sweet mac!
