Had an idea, if hair loss results from subconscious fear, then it's possibly a form of telogen effluvium, which is stress-related hair loss, because the subsconsious mind is afraid of/stressed out by the goal of program. Just throwing this out there, maybe you can adjust the modules somehow to deal with the subconscious stress and reverse hair loss.
