How do you see where your life is headed to? Like how can you rationally say, okay based on past events, the future events will most likely turn out to be....
I can see that in every moment, I have almost infinite possible options for what I can do, think, choose, decide. All of them being possible, and all of them existing in some possible "future" as a choice that I made and took.
All things are thus possible, but it is up to you what you decide to do, think, believe, choose, say, etc. Your choices pick the possible "futures" that exist as a result.
I don't base on the past what I think will happen in the future. I base it in the present, and the knowledge that somethings are, and some things are not, within my control.
I don't make forecasts though. I make choices. I choose this outcome, and then I make it happen. I do what leads me to connect where I was when I decided on that future, with that future when it come into being.
I can make forecasts, and in fact I do and I use them to help me guide myself to my goals. But you don't need to make forecasts to achieve your goals. You just have to pick a goal and then work on achieving that goal one step at a time, sure and steady, after having broken the steps to that goal down into small enough steps.
