No, if he doesn't like how he feels after sex then that's a subjective thing. People have sex because it feels good. I have sex because it feels good. Abstaining from sex in this context is for the purposes of excelling at combat sports.

Yes, but that's in my opinion a reasonable motive. If one weights the pros and cons and find out that he's not winning, then abstaining for the purpose of keeping a good status quo doesn't seem absurd to me.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in about that Tantra stuff you said. It's good to nuance that there are differents school of thoughts.
