Yeah, that's where the pre-frontal cortex comes in. The "human brain". If she can't see herself having some sort of a future with you then it'll impact upon her mind.
If you were an animal in nature you wouldn't have to worry about that but because women have that faculty, they'll be mindful (consciously and unconsciously) about any potential future with you.
