Fluffybunny what you're saying would make sense for guys who already have a handle on fapping. It would make sense for guys who are not compulsive fappers or for guys who are not subconsciously fapping to avoid executing the script for DMSI. For other guys fapping is an issue because it is in one way, shape or form having a negative impact on their life. Your advice isn't "wrong" but it's also not going to be feasible for most of the guys who have that problem. Why you ask? Because if it wasn't that big of a deal Shannon wouldn't have decided to prevent the use of fapping via "The Wall". If it was that simple none of these guys would even NEED a subliminal program to get over it. I think the following exchange featuring Shannon and Sarge explains everything (key points are in bold).

3.2 is going to seek to prevent the use of porn, masturbation, fantasy, edging, procrastination and everything else from being used as a way to escape executing the script. The goal is to execute. So, if you want to look at porn, don't use DMSI.

I don't suppose there's a way to have a sub distinguish between the reasons one uses porn?

So, if they're using it to escape, then that issue they have is dealt with, but if they use it because they like to yet still *cough* approach women every day *cough cough* then the sub knows they aren't using it as a means of escape but as a preferred form of entertainment?
