As a celebrity who is pretty well known in my country. I don't see this at all. It's actually quite beneficial because of all the free shit I get and how of easy it is to influence others.
It's actually pretty much impossible for me to not influence others. I've completely botched presentations and still got what I wanted.
Dominance can be countered with an edge of warmth. Look at most successful "Alphas". They are dominant, but they have this warmth to them that tells you they are friendly.
Just ensure they are balanced so you aren't too dominant or too warm.
