You could simply make the old SM program the "intro" level. Or "recommended for newbies." With the more powerful 2012 beta as a "for pros and those who finished intro."
Or you could simply archive/remove "SM 2011" if beta 1 is similar enough, And then have a 2012 "Newb" version, and a 2012 "Pro" version.
Either way, I'm probably sticking with 2011 since I'm nearing the 50% mark anyways.
If things keep going smoothly, I'll probably run Alpha 2012 followed by ton of bricks SM 2012.
