I hear you. If it makes any difference, I think there would still be an advantage of running B, even if it means running into a brick wall, making you realize you need to go back to A.
First of all, you'll be very aware that there is a brick wall in your way. And since it is now a direct obstacle for going forward, A will work on clearing the wall from your path.

It's an interesting dynamic that A and B have with each other. I switched back and forth between them 3 times already xD.
