I'm on vacation from massage school, and I've been going to bed at like 3am and waking up at 1pm. Once we start again I won't have the luxury of staying up so late. Oddly enough, I sleep 10 hours even though I'm 22 (I probably don't need the 10hrs, I just like it). If I wanted to start going to sleep at like 11pm-midnight, what program would help me do that if there are any?
My suggestions are as follows:
- Turn off the TV.
- Turn off the computer.
- Turn off the radio.
- Turn off the light.
- Go to sleep because you're just plain bored.
It may sound primitive, but after the first night, it works great. I am getting up at 7 am and going to bed by 9 now, doing that.
There's also the Go To Bed On Time sub, which is in the children's section, but works fine for adults. You just need to solidly set a bed time first. Got any suggestions for something better?
And as for how much sleep you need? I think the "8 hours is normal" stuff is full of it. Maybe in a world where we aren't constantly bombarded with information and trying to cram more-more-more into our days. I sleep 10 to 12 hours a night, and you bet your bippy, I need every bit of it. I can work 4 hours after getting up and use up all that mental energy if I am doing the right (wrong?) kind of work on these subs. It burns huge amounts of mental energy.
