That's exactly the mindset going around that's causing alot of the people on DMSI issues, to the level of "Oh if she's right next to me and staring at me I can't even say hi because no she's meant to do it".

This is not what I am saying. My suggestion was based on the details he provided in his post. We need to keep in mind what the end goal of the sub is, which is that the user should be approached first. Unless I have mis-understood fluffy's post, (which is possible since English is not my first language) he's doing the approaching, with the exception of the time when the girl told him that he looked spiffy, which is an IOI.
