It is rare that I agree with Sick, but he does understand the psychology of this sort of situation. The most dangerous creature gets the most respect - and the most distance. One doesn't wade into a swarm of Man-O-War jellyfish carelessly, for instance.
Not necessarily an effective approach for all personality types; but for Sick's personality type, it woks well.
