I'm not sure it's reasonable to interpret it as resistance because it does not seem like an effective method of getting you to stop. Resistance is usually aimed at either getting you to quit the sub, or neutralizing it's effects or both. Aside from burping being less than feminine in most people's eyes, I don't see this as a really effective resistance response.
My thinking is that the subconscious is interpreting something in the script in an unexpected way that results in... burping. Sometimes it has some extremely strange interpretations of what is said, and that's why I have to use a predictive model to know which words produce the results I am looking for; just using conversational speech is NOT effective for subliminals of any level of complexity beyond stupid simple. Which I don't make.
