You actually said the same thing, I guess she overlooked it somehow.

Women, who have had some time to become more mature, prefer men who take it to the edge of cockiness, but not over that line.

I said the same thing but it's worded a bit different.
Women who have had time to mature can smell overt cockiness a mile away and it is a turn-off. The younger more immature ones are still finding their way around and haven't had the experience to discern yet.
