I finally finished the 2010 alpha male set and so I celebrated by finishing off this 6 month alpha ride by hanging on a meat hook by my back in front of a large crowd of people at the tattoo convention today. It was incredible. I never would have done something like that in the past. That was a testament to how much I've grown by facing a fear such as HANGING FROM A MEAT HOOK when I've never so much as had a piercing before. Talk about an adrenaline rush...

Awesome Cortez and congrats on finishing Alpha male
how did the meat hooks feel?

Well, I've never so much as even had a piercing done before so this was like going from 0-175mph. The guy put four hooks in me while a bunch of people crowded around sqeauling at ho painful it looked. The hooks hurt pretty bad going in, but I got a pretty nice endorphin rush from it. Then they led me to the center stage where they strung me up and slowly started lifting me while talking me through it. There was lot of preassure when I finally lifted off the ground, but it didn't hurt as bad as the hooks initially going in. It was just a very strange feeling and uncomfortable as well, but then I got another endorphin rush and the crowd was cheering so it wasn't all that bad. I even let them swing me. I was glad when they lowered me after a fe minutes, though, because that was a strange feeling. All in all, it was a very interesting experience.

That is awesome, I have had my ear pierced and shot a nail into my finger and to do that would be on heck of an awesome thing to do yet fearful to an extent as well. I commend you Cortez for such a feat.

wow! You're crazy as hell haha! I had a friend that did that. I don't talk to him anymore..
... not because of the meet hooks but we just fell out of touch. Anyways, I congratulate you and commend you on doing such a ridiculous thing and finishing alpha! Good job, Cortez!
Thank you, guys! I appreciate the support

Yeah, they went in and back out. They put four of them in. That hurt more than hanging really. As you can see in the picture, I am smiling, meaning I really wasn't in all that much pain. I felt great today. Proving to myself that I could do something like that gave me a massive confidence boost. I don't think I will ever do it again, but I've proven it to myself and that's enough.
