My date for Saturday just backed out and thanks to Hurricane Matthew flooding the hell out of NC, I can't take my kid to her mother's. Can't go out. That means I'm my testing will be limited until next weekend.

Shannon, how strong is the Sniper effect in DMSI? If im sure someone is being scoped and i act on thier attraction but screw it up. Lets say if i go to the kiss and for some reason they refuse! would there be a chance for recovery with them? Would they still be scoped even after?

I experienced the "Sniper Effect" once and it feels like you and her are two magnets being pulled towards each other. It is very strong!! I didn't act on her attraction because she had a wedding ring on her left ring finger.

Chaosvrgn journaled his "Sniper Effect" and he acted on it. Autopilot took over and the rest was history...

Your chances of screwing it up in my opinion would be you "cockblocking" yourself from letting it happen. Once you decide to act on it, autopilot will take over!!

The sniper effect is one of those "you know it when you feel it," kind of things. It's the most profound attraction you'll ever experience. Like 4Kingdoms said (every time I see your name, I think of Romance of the Three Kingdoms), it feels like a magnetic, pure, naive attraction.

The blonde at the marketing event literally licked her lips at me. I've only received that IOI a few times in my entire life.

It's crazy. Hoping to experience the sniper effect again.

Let's pretend that we are in a future reality and v3.x is available. How do you recommend we balance the healing with any other modules?

Here's why I ask... I've been 2 days without v2.4. I'm starting to feel less introverted and even more clarity. There was a woman basically throwing herself at me and I just... I'm not interested and when I realized this, she kind of shut off like a faucet. More assumptions about reality are rising to the surface such as "What is identity?" and "Has my identity been holding me back with women?" and so forth. So not beliefs like "Are women X?" This is more fundamental to life and reality and my concept of self.

I wonder if taking a break from the healing is actually healing in and of itself. What are your thoughts?

One of the things P3 does is to cause the script to continue to execute after you stop listening. This effect does not, of course, last forever. But it will last a while, depending on how long you used it before cessation. You are still running the program, and it is still having an effect on you. However, it is no longer being "powered", so certain aspects are fading.

As for balancing healing... when 3.0 comes out, I will guesstimate that it would be best to use a 1:1 ratio of with to without healing at a rate of 1 to 4 weeks per.

I started modeling the energy sourcing scripting and found out two things.

1. The current sourcing effectively rolls a natural 1 on D20 and is therefore critical miss and a massive FAIL for long term success of the program, and
2. more than 90% of what I have tested so far has also failed.

I haven't even started building it yet, though, because when I realized (1) above, all available focus and energy and time went to correcting this issue. This is a critical factor, so I'm going to devote whatever time is necessary to fixing it NOW.

Good news is, I have a very promising multi-threaded multi-sourced solution at hand. Bad news is, implementing it properly will require at least another hour of calculations, and I also need to eat. I estimate the program will take at least 6 hours to build once I start. So... unfortunately, no. Not today my friend. We must correct this issue, and I will make sure it is corrected to the best of my ability instead of rushing this out the door.

Now, as you are also changing the energy source, do you consider a 2.5 healing-on-version some time after taking vacation? I am asking because initially you didn't want to change anything but the healing to have better comparison. But now, as several things changed and you found out that 2.4 energy source isn't effective in long term anyway this would also serve you to get the difference between healing-on and healing-off version. And the delayed release of the healing version would give you some data of the non-healing version first.

There will be no healing versions after 2.4 in the 2.x branch. I am going to build 2.5 and then start on 3.0.

EDIT: I've been playing "The Phantom Pain" for the past few hours while waiting. This game is an absolute masterpiece. Crazy how awesome it is.

P4 modifies P3 by optimizing it and making it more powerful. P3 does that.
