RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Havana - 08-15-2021 (08-15-2021, 02:00 PM)Shannon Wrote: The tracks are the length that they are for good reasons. They will stay that way, and having shorter time frames is therefore not an option. Sorry I meant literally silent, empty track. Some people use it to pad the playlist when they're going to sleep for instance. ![]() RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Shannon - 08-15-2021 (08-15-2021, 03:45 PM)Havana Wrote:(08-15-2021, 02:00 PM)Shannon Wrote: The tracks are the length that they are for good reasons. That would require going in to the back end server and adding that track to every program's storage, which would make for a lot more expensive storage costs. I'll ask if we can implement a delay start timer. It would be up to the individual to go there to download the track. Which as I said, would require a copy of said track(s) in every program storage folder, and take up a huge amount of space that we have to pay more for as we use more. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - GreekGod22 - 08-15-2021 A web-based player needing constant access to Internet? That sounds like a bad idea and a lot of things can go wrong with it, and the track can be easily interrupted. This will piss off some people. @Havana I think it's a great idea to have an alternative option. It makes sense especially for in-the-moment subs, pain relief, awakaner etc. Agree on this. The only type of subs for which a subscription model makes sense. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - ncbeareatingman - 08-16-2021 Shannon, Quesrion /Comment Question: UMSv2 Stage 4 work on that starts at months end? Comment: Congradulations on the long time coming New Store build/shift/Move/New beginning <Man! Awesome alternatives...to the flow and in da flow RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Griffin - 08-16-2021 I think the subscription idea could be good, i wont use it probably because i have spotty internet connection and when I travel I have no option to play it. I hope the sub prices don't go up alot to get more people to choose subscription, but good idea overall as an extra option for those living in one place with good internet connection. Cheers. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - callie - 08-16-2021 Congrats on the store Shannon, the new changes sounds promising. On another note. Would you say E5 is a better fit to help resolve repressed anger, rather than OFv3? One Informational Tip here for ya Callie: Anger is a form of Fear. In MY view either way you wont go wrong, however, let Shannon lay the knowledge on ya about all of that. If you know beforehand that the subscription service requires Internet access, then surely you can time your usage to when you have steady Internet access. But now you have more options and more affordable options. Quote:@Havana That's for you. For a lot of people, a subscription makes perfect sense. Someone who doesn't make enough to buy, and for whatever reason won't be able or willing to save up. Someone who doesn't have enough storage space. Someone who wants to try before they buy. Someone who can save money subscribing instead of buying. Someone who doesn't want to deal with what to do with the files after they're done with the sub. Someone who wants to use subs from an unusual device, like the gaming console in their living room. And so on and so forth. You have to think outside the box of "my personal experience and opinion". I have thousands of customers to tend to. Let's celebrate when it's actually up and running, though. lol There are some things we still have to figure out that have popped up quite recently that are making me nervous about successfully getting it open on the 17th. Do you have Internet that is steady where you live? It would still be useful for playing at night if you do, or when you're at home. I'm not raising prices to encourage subscription use. I'm offering subscriptions to counterbalance having to raise prices. E5 can do a good job for that, and OF can too, but they will do it differently depending on various aspects of why you are angry in the first place. The why is very important, especially with repressed anger. In my experience, repressed anger is always repressed because of fear, so if you remove the fear, the anger will be expressed. That is a good thing, because repressing any negative emotion is toxic and self destructive. But expressing it without control is also bad, because it can be just as destructive externally. You want to validate and give expression to the part of you that is angry, but you also want to understand why it is angry and solve that issue. Then the anger is no more. If you know why that anger is there, and you think you can resolve it consciously then OFv3 is a better choice. If not, then E5 is a better choice. |
