I'm not sure why you think of them as band aids, they are about digging into how you present the issue and dealing with that, I guess some of it could be some of the marketing.
Though yes they can conflict with subliminals. Sometimes in the past when I was doing both i'd tap and it would unlock something I was resisting, then another time I would and it would stop the results I was getting.. it was kind of unpredictable.

Regarding Erika. She seems to be easily obsessed with various guys. I remember the last time I read her blog which was maybe four or five plus years ago, she was going on about the guy who calls himself Hypnotica.

@Benjamin I didn't mean to come across as argumentative. I've researched the shit out of EFT & being the skeptical person I am as well as running it by some people close to me with extensive medical knowledge, I doubt that EFT is nothing more than a placebo effect.

I'm not sure why medical knowledge has anything to do with it, why would you ask a doctor about dealing with emotional and psychological issues? You wouldn't, well I guess people do but you just get a pill that' doesn't solve anything.
I always find it entertaining though that people who have no experience in a method write it off as 'placebo' where it has a proven track record for many people.
But i'm thinking you may be looking at it from the 'energy' point of view about trapped energy and stuff as they talk about in normal EFT. If you take FasterEFT it actually looks at how you represent the issue, images, memories, sensations and such and deals with shifting those, not from the woo woo point of 'trapped energy' and I like it being approached from that angle much better.
