To this day I still have some things that happen even though my beliefs contradict them. It would be a combination of slipstream and thrown anchor. I call the technique where I have you project part of your awareness into the ideal future where you have already accomplished the goal, the "thrown anchor technique" because it's like throwing an anchor to where you want to go, and then pulling yourself there. Sarge, you're limiting yourself by thinking in absolutes. If X then Y doesn't apply the way you want to think it does in this case. It works because there are shades of gray and complexities beyond hat you're allowing yourself to see or accept. And whether or not you want to see or accept it, it does work, and those of us who can and will open our eyes and minds to it, experience it, and use and benefit from it every day. So from that, we can logically deduce that all of us who use it are delusional, or you are at some level afraid of accepting the idea that maybe this is the truth for some reason. You seem to be strongly self sabotaging in a lot of ways. This, I think, is one of them. But hey, I don't think we will ever see eye to eye, so enjoy what you have and chive on. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 03-07-2016 (03-07-2016, 11:03 AM)Vincent_Vega Wrote: So FLAC will only be included in the newly built ones, right? The FLACs are derived directly from the WAV audio stream I create. That means they're pristine. But each one of these single stage builts takes about 20-25 gigabytes of space on my disk. Even with a 512 GB hard disk, it has to be cleared away. So I keep the FLAC and MP3 and erase the build files and WAVs. That means that to create the FLACs for anything previous, I have to rebuild it, which I cannot afford the time to do for such a small improvement. Going forward, there will be FLACs. Well if you're going to start using flac, samsung just created the biggest ssd drive to date. I'd recommend an ssd drive over hard drive the speed of file transfers are so fast. http://www.engadget.com/2016/03/03/samsung-16tb-ssd-shipping/ RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 03-07-2016 (03-07-2016, 03:25 PM)lokko Wrote:(03-07-2016, 02:16 PM)Shannon Wrote:(03-07-2016, 11:03 AM)Vincent_Vega Wrote: So FLAC will only be included in the newly built ones, right? My computer currently runs on an SSD, 512 GB. It's about 7x faster than the fastest spinning drive I had before it, which is to say it is no longer painful to wait for read/write operations on the large amounts of data I work with. But I certainly would not mind having that beast. 15.35 TB of course would necessitate a considerable expenditure for the drive, and then I would have the joy of creating a RAID array for it's backup. I suspect the cost of all this is not currently feasible. ![]() RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Life - 03-07-2016 Will my second run of all six stages of SM be stronger because I've run it once before. Does it just build off my current progress? Does it just build off my current progress? Basically, yes it will. It is like running AM 3-4 times in a row. The more you run it, the more that program can sink into your mind to become automatic. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Life - 03-07-2016 I mean that's what I assumed and I will be re running these programs for years to come but I would like a bit more detail. Just, would the program come across as stronger or pronounced? can we expect new results or effects from stages as our minds have accepted the programming once already. I guess I can wait and see but getting more insight would be helpful RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - chaosvrgn - 03-07-2016 (03-07-2016, 05:23 PM)Ultralight Beam Wrote: I mean that's what I assumed and I will be re running these programs for years to come but I would like a bit more detail. Just, would the program come across as stronger or pronounced? can we expect new results or effects from stages as our minds have accepted the programming once already. My second run of AM6 thus far has been both stronger and more pronounced. Optimus Engine is kicking in with a vengeance. I've never had so much motivation to go to the gym / do martial arts in my entire life. Sometimes, working out, making money and educating myself is all I can think about. This didn't happen in the first run. First run was six months of curling up in a ball and hating my life, hahaha. Weird thing was, I felt masochistic -- it hurt, but it... hurt really good? My guess is that the first run brought me out of the depths of omegahood. Second run is actually doing what the sub intended, considering how low I was in the beginning. After this, it's EPHRA 2.0 for three months and then a third run... unless Ultimate Writer is available. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 03-07-2016 You don't clear a lot for building in one pass. First you knock down the trees, then you clear out the brush, then you rip out the roots. Likewise, you can only make so much progress in one pass with growth. But for those who are willing to stick to it and cooperate, the results are there. The programs are designed to build on themselves from one pass to another yes. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Life - 03-07-2016 Ok thank you. And I'll be here to update on the contrast |
