I've read almost every journal here since I created my account, and I'm particularly interested in those that run the subs I have done/am doing (EPRHA, ASC) and plan (AM, SM) or similar (BIATBW(S)? AYP...?), so don't worry if sometimes people don't post or whatever. Someone is always reading and trying to glean knowledge and advice from other people's experiences and hope to apply such to their own and use it to help choose better.

Ah yes...looking for love at work, been there, done that, fell on my face, but I have a few fun stories, the gem of which is my professing my affections about a girl at a Landmark Education seminar and then having 120 people rooting for me to call the girl. Surreal times.
In my experience, growth comes from surrounding yourself with both theory and practice. While eating breakfast, I watch the likes of Elliott Hulse (whose live workshop I had the fortune to attend). On the side, I follow courses such as this one - http://www.yahyabakkar.com/tcb/ (free course at the moment because it's in beta testing), but perhaps above all, whenever possible, I seek out strengthening experiences, such as a year's worth of improv classes (it helps that I love Whose Line Is It Anyway?). In all that confidence immersion, that quality we all crave so badly takes root and germinates.

Clear, powerful voice with good modulation + almost no filler in speech + clear focus on you from the camera + good color scheme behind you = a well done video. Feel free to do as many as you like, George!

apollolux, thanks for that review; you actually made me go back and watch the video, which I rarely do. I'm naturally a little less generous to myself with my own review, but no matter, it just goes to show that speaking is an art and a science, what with all the modalities you listed. I actually came across a Facebook group that challenges members to post a video of themselves a day for 365 days; Having done a third of that, I can tell you that the repetition helps fine tune your consciousness of speaking and your ultimately your delivery. I recommend at least a mini-run of videos to anyone!
