Everytime I try to get to the subliminal shop website it throws up an error "unable to connect to the database". Is there a problem at the moment ?

I want to add its as slow as hell and it cannot be my laptop or browser as other websites do not present this problem. When you get sh*t like this happening it puts me off from buying the products. If there is a problem please get it fixed.

For what it's worth, I'd like to second that it's at least slow. I just logged in and it took noticeable minutes to actually load my account page.
Maybe run an 'optimize tables' on the database?

I haven't been able to reproduce this error. The slow logging in has been a known issue however and we haven't yet been able to isolate the cause.
Which browser are you using? On mobile or otherwise?

Safari 11.1 on macOS High Sierra for me. Don't know thor's browser. Might be specific to WordPress or one of its plugins, though.

Used both chrome and Firefox had the same issue.
