Day 10,
Nothing really to report; it's almost like there are no single women where I live.
I'm intending on running a 100 Day Challenge in the next week, possibly right after Easter. I'll finish this dang book and get a couple of other projects done. It's tricky to complete 3 projects when I have 3-5 spare hours a day after working my full time job. Anyways, I'll approach it from a perspective of energy levels. I'll possibly also block myself off from YouTube; it's distracting.
I finished draft #2 yesterday.
My intent is to run the '100 Day Challenge' starting April 18 or 19th. It will continue until July 27 or 28th.
My first goal is to completely finish and publish my book; I'll need to read and compile notes for a few dozen books. It will be a hard sprint, but I think I can do it.
My second goal is to become more serious about my singing voice, focusing on breath support and range. I'll break down the details and master them individually. I'll even try different voice teachers. I made a lot of progress the last time I did it, but I fell into a routine.
My third goal is to become more practical about applying my German skills; I'll surf Omegle Germany and chat with native speakers. I'm also going to focus on my French skills (native, but waning). I'll need to get my speaking skills back to the level they were, and then some. I'd like to master much more vocabulary, so that I could pass as a Parisian (I'm more French-Canadian or Quebecois French).
Day 13,
This subliminal feels like a dud. I'll continue until B version, and that that may change things. Whatever, if I can't get a refund, I'll wait for the next installment.
Anyways, I've spent my 4 day weekend preparing for draft #3 of my book; I've got a 28 book booklist, and I've just ordered a ScanMarker to help me out with this. Ideally, I can use the interlibrary loan in order to get these books, 5-6 at a time, then I can scan through one book a day (about 1 hour), then use the Scan Marker the next day to get notes I want (30 minutes).
This ScanMarker, apparently can convert physical text (from your book) to digital text (on your computer) at about 500 wpm.
This way, I can read the book twice, allowing me to gain new insight the second day, but also getting only the information that I need.
So:
Day 1: Skim book #1
Day 2: Skim book #2, Scan book #1
Day 3: Skim book #3, Scan book #2
Day 4: Skim book #4, Scan book #3, etc.
I hope this works.
Day 14,
I feel stuck; unable to finish this book, unable to be productive, unable to get a job and change my situation. Considering that all of my big projects will end before July, I'm left wondering what I'll be doing during the summer, and I'm inferring that I'll get the boot sometime during the summer. I want to finish this book before then, and I want to land my job (the remote one) and to create a business sometime before then.
Day 15,
Life sucks; I feel like I'm in trouble all the time. But, I just started the 100 Day Challenge again, and I literally read (lol pun) an entire book as research for my own book. Once I get the ScanMarker, this time will be shaved down from the 2.5 -3 hour ordeal to a 1.5-2 hour breeze, because I had to pause and write into my notebook the page numbers and where I will copy later (it's a library book, so I can't write in it). With this scanner, I can pick the spots I want to copy, scan then, and continue flipping through the pages without interruption.
Now that I've blasted through an action step, I feel confident that I can get a lot done in these next 30 days. I didn't even work that hard at it.
BTW, my 100 Day Challenge goals are only this book and my singing voice.
Day 16,
Had a few brief headaches; one in the morning, and one in the afternoon. I heard that these are good things. Other than that, not much that's new.
Read about 150 pages on top of having my voice lesson and going to BJJ class. Still waiting for that damn ScanMarker to come and speed up my process (I'm excited for this thing!)
I need a carrot that will get me through the 100 Day Challenge, I was thinking that if I publish my completed book before the 100 days are up, I go to a brothel and get myself taken care of lol. Otherwise, DMSI will have run its course long enough to get some women in my bed before I need to go to that extreme. Based on my current trajectory, it doesn't seem like that will happen.
Day 17,
Third day into my Challenge, 3 books read and summarized. Tomorrow might be a little more difficult, but I keep surprising myself. I'm finding a lot of these books on torrent sites, so reading and reviewing from a screen might be more challenging.
On top of a daily book, I'm working to chip away at Daniel Kahneman's 'Thinking Fast and Slow' (400 pages, very interesting and full of things I want to reference later). I'm at page 130.
Again, I can't wait for the ScanMarker to arrive; simply to stop myself mid page to write in my journal eats up so much time. I can't wait to make this a seamless process, especially as I cut my teeth on the 400-500 page books.
Day 18,
Read another book today (one which I had previously read). I've been able to find most of the books on my reading list in pdf format, which means less time at the library. A lot of these books are 350+ pages (some 400-500); I wonder how I would realistically read one of those in a day. I'll probably put them off until they're at the end of my reading list so that I can jump from one to the other. I intend on finishing my book list by Day 30 of my challenge, and I'm on track at the moment.
A couple of little things for DMSI progress; my skin, especially forehead and legs, are warm. At one point while listening, my hands were tingling with warmth. I spent a portion of the day with that young woman from work. It's very easy to get lost in conversation with her; not a complaint, but I've got to work!
Did you know you can convert pdfs or any text document to mp3s? Just throwing it out there.
Cause I work 40 hrs a week and it's a large chunk of my time. I wanna increase productivity, so I'm using Natural Reader to convert a lotta text stuff to something I can listen to while working hours.
Fair enough; what I'm trying to do is to convert physical pages into text, which is one step before what you're doing (converting text into mp3). I'm doing this because these are library books, and I don't have unlimited access to them.
This ScanMarker will speed that up.
Day 21,
7 Days into my 100 Day Challenge, 7 books read and noted. This will become much harder as the days progress, because the books will become longer and longer (and in digital format, too!).
Challenge accepted.
Day 22,
I read one book out of a set of two (the second one might not even be useful to my works). Still waiting for my dang marker to come in, so I'm working on digital texts. I have two library books that have arrived from inter-library.
Got a haircut; it was long overdue, as the front-central part of my hair can hit my lips if I let it fall, while the sides are recovering from having used clippers, So, the proportions were off. If anyone is curious, I want hair like my thumbnail (Aragorn).
I went to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, and in front of me was this woman in yoga pants, with a gorgeous (GORGEOUS!!!) plump ass. She had an athletic build, and she looked good, but her ass was fat! Didn't snipe her though. She never looked at me, but I sensed that she knew I was staring. Funny enough, I'm more turned on thinking about her ass than I was in the moment.
I used to approach women, and I enjoyed it. Now, I don't; it would feel weird now. I know, I know "you're resisting ur subkontious is fighting the goal blah blah blah "
My work life is about to clear up big time starting this Sunday (big event on Saturday).
Day 23,
A productive day at work. It was pretty smooth, and me and my coworkers finished a bunch of work.
I read another book (still no ScanMarker !!!) pretty easily.
I went to the gym, and there were so many pretty women walking by the large window in the mall. The women in the gym aren't half bad either.
Still no real IOIs though. Does that mean that I shouldn't run Side B until I do get interest? I feel as though nothing is really happening, except that I'm striving for higher personal productivity, and I think that's attributable to the 100 Day Challenge.
Day 24,
I found that the older women at work were interested in what I was doing; I was doing something interesting for an important work project.
A younger woman called me 'her hero' over email; I did something so incredibly small, but she seemed stressed out.
This week, I decided to not use the snooze feature on my alarm, and it's affected my days in positive ways; I get to work sooner, and work faster. I also get to leave earlier and work on my book. It's very productive. I still have an hour before bed and I finished reading my daily book; I think I'll read a chapter from a denser book I'd been meaning to review.
