Andrew introduced me to a movie called Ip Man, about the famous Chinese martial artist of the same name, who was Bruce Lee's Master. There are two of them: Ip Man, and Ip Man 2. Just finished watching them both, the first one for a second time. Excellent movies, and highly recommended. Masterful Chinese movie-making at it's best.
I'll have to check them out. Some of my recent favorites include Rushmore and Our Idiot Brother which just came out. However, Our Idiot Brother is not up to par with Anchorman. As far as martial arts movies... the best one I've ever seen is The Legend of the Drunken Master with Jackie Chan.

Then get ready to have your socks blown off. These are martial arts movies with not only great action, but a great plot, excellent acting, and no cheese.
Yeah their pretty good. There's a third one too.

I've just ordered Aussie Park Boyz - The Next Chapter. I loved the first one and have watched it heaps. Not many people liked it for some reason, but I loved it. It's about gangs in Australia and it's mainly the fighting in it shows some stuff that could happen in the street.

Wow Shannon - Great minds really do think alike Big Grin . I watched these 2 movies a few weeks back ( before you posted this) . I agree , very enjoyable movies . I also saw 'young bruce lee ' (released last year) ,about the first 19 years of bruce's life - not strictly a martial arts movie but more of a biopic .Its based on the book by bruce's younger brother ,therefore probably pretty accurate . . Hey did you guys know that Bruce was a ballroom dancing (cha cha cha ) champion in Hong Kong , before going to the US aged 19 ? No , neither did I . Big Grin
For me:
The Pursuit of Happyness
3 Idiots
TOP secret A.K.A The Billionaire
The Great Gatsby
Goodfellas
Casino

and
Skyfall for all you old heads out there Wink

Thanks

'Inglorious Bastards' was great. It was an anti-Nazi WWII movie, very clever. A Quentin Tarantino film.
The Raid & The Raid 2: Berandal
Must watch!! A very interesting movie and what's more its from my country, Indonesia!!

Okay so where do I begin I saw the first one and It blew me away. I watch so many movies no matter the genre. So while I was watching this sequel my heart was beating very fast and the adrenaline was pumping. It takes place 2 hours after where the first one ended. Swear to god every time there was a fight on I felt it and I kept shaking. The scene that had me pumped was the train scene and the prison fight. There is a lot of martial artist involved in this film which makes me love it even more because they use real stunt men and this movie just requires skill. This is by far the best action movie sequel ever produced and I hope it gets noticed by everyone around the world. If you love action movies and would love to turn your brain off for a moment then this is your candy. My favorite action movie ever, sorry Bruce Lee. 10/10 MUST SEE!
Shannon,

Why is FIGHT CLUB (Brad Pitt & Ed Norton) not required to watch while running the Alpha Male Sub? Wink
I've been meaning to watch The Raid Redemption. And I agree, fight club is awesome. One of my favourites.

One I seen this week that was pretty good is Snowpeircer. Except for the ending, but the rest was good.
