Body weight went from 197 to 187 on a 12 day cut. Light walking no more than 1 hour and cycling and rowing no more than 20 minutes. I took the occasional 30 minute swim. No same cardio on back to back days.

Here I am with arms at 15 1/4". I lost some size but it was all water and fat Smile

So my 3rd 12 day cut was more successful than my last ones now that I have my protein intake down as well as meal schedules down. I'm so excited to get down to 8%. I'm at 11" here but I can't be too sure how accurate my calipers are so it's possible I'm at 12 or 13%. I'm going to keep cutting until my abs are chiseled and I'm nowhere close. I expect to put on some size on this mini bulk since I set PR's in dragon sit-ups and leg press.

Hey everyone! The above pictures were taken a couple days ago. Not much too report. I've had to clean up my bulks which I've been doing. My cuts have been really good but I know I can get better results from my cuts, which I'm looking forward to. I plan on doing my next cut on the 28th. I've matched and gone above all of my isolations and all but one of my compound exercises. I've set some new goals for myself and I'm really REALLY looking forward to the progress I will be seeing come the end of this year!
Hey everyone! Started cutting yesterday. My calorie restriction is set pretty low now but I still go to the gym to swim and walk around the neighborhood to get some exercise. I'm low body fat now so maybe that's why Andrew has asked me to put my calorie intake at the lowest possible limit which is around 1200. It's actually 1188 but might be hard to hit that getting the right amount of protein I need. We'll see what happens in the next 10 days!

In the meantime I've started writing for my body building blog. I've written 4 posts over the last week. I plan to write 16 more covering useful topics for any beginning body builder and anyone else that might be interested since I'm going to hit on universal ideas everyone can be open to.

I will keep this journal going but I will also provide more information over on my blog speaking about certain hardships and issues I may be going through during each bulk or cut. Talk about minor successes as well. Just some things to get content out there. As many of you know I want to become a multi-millionaire and I plan for this blog to help me get there among other things. I have several different ideas now not including body building. I'm also looking for a job so I'm moving constantly and staying busy. Some of these ideas are for quick cash and others are for the long haul like my blog and body building. In the end though I'm satisfying my desire to be better than I was the day before. Being the best I can accomplishing small things everyday moving closer to the end goal.

Anyways stay tuned for my blog! The content will be free. I plan to write my own book within the next couple of years. Something to create a win-win sitch for everyone involved.
Hey everyone! I have been writing for the last month and am planning to begin shooting videos for basic budget meals for beginner body builders and will transition into filming for different cuisines for real muscle building meals.

Initially, I planned to begin filming recipes for bodybuilding meals but due to recent circumstances I've had to cut back on my budget for food.

I am no longer out there to build muscle but to maintain and survive essentially. After the next few months I'll be back eating to put on muscle. In the mean time, might as well experience what it's like to basically live off beans and rice, make my own imitation meats and bake my own breads. I know it will be a lot of fun and I'll enjoy making the videos so stay tuned for all of that!

If anyone has been following my blog I apologize for the lack of content and especially follow through. Things have changed dramatically since my last post and am just learning to live my life and become passionate again. I've felt numb lately emotionally and I want to blame other people so badly but I've chosen this. I'll spare you the details. However things are looking up and I do believe the rest of this year will be a noteable one in terms of learning and becoming smarter in life, in the gym and how I approach my relationships with others and myself. I'm really just getting started when you think about it but I have not forgotten the sense of urgency. I'm 27, planning life changing things for the fall, and by the end of the year might SERIOUSLY consider filming recipe videos. When I talked about it first, I was just excited that I had the idea. First things first though and that is getting back into the kitchen; since I have enough money now and will learn what it takes to become a well rounded creative chef. Along the way I plan to discover a niche that hasn't been tapped into yet.

I also have one BIG plan. But I do not have sufficient experience in the subject nor do I have an action plan on how to tackle it. My excuse is I have "no play money" and "not enough time in the day". This is my big plan though... I have a little time to get some things together before it becomes my main focus.

Progress pictures to come soon.
What is bulking and cutting?
Bulking is when you're mainly focused on putting on muscle.. cutting is when you're mainly focused on losing fat.

This would have been appropriate about 3 months out from your last progress. Yeah, uh-oh your trainer is here posting from the grave because this story is a pile of shit.

Ryan this is your journal on bodybuilding and in order to make posts about bodybuilding you have to be bodybuilding which you haven't been. Life is always going to be hard for people who have difficult goals. People are here to see results you promised them.

You haven't been following my instructions since September last year. You've eaten a ton of fast food. Not surprisingly there's little results to show since then. It has been over half a year. Who, other than yourself could you possibly blame?

I thought you were going to spare us the details? Except instead of blaming a person you blamed life. I bet that's convenient. This is all a big excuse because you've been choosing the easy way and you know it. You made yourself a promise when you started to see this through, and I, risking my time and effort to train you believed you.

You made progress while I held your hand and practically forced you to eat the right foods. I'm no longer there so, grow a pair. Pride and ego bruised because you never made gains before I taught you how? Deal with it. You came to me for my help and I got you to the other side. It's what you asked for. You were weak, had two chronic injuries, and I filled my end of the promise. You've come out injury free and stronger than you've ever been. Now finish what you started.

If you want to be a bodybuilder start bodybuilding again.
