I don't think I followed you here, meaning that how to differentiate between sexual energy and being horny, for me they go hand in hand. I want to stir up sexual energy to aid my writing, and as far as picking up girls is concerned it helps with quite a few things, though it's quite a time I haven't approached girls.
As many books I have read on the subject, they usual mention to get sexually aroused and then shift the energy throughout your body, like spreading it out, especially in and around your mind.

i dont know where your level is at but seems like to me you have put yourself on the line before and stopped quite some time.
i recommend you become more social . and just talk to people around you. start getting back to the habit of approach or at very least talk to that woman that makes you go WOW when u see her.

For me i have never read a book on it. sexual energy is a natural energy we all have it in us. once you know this. you dont need techniques . just practice on feeling it. and over a period time you can easily know how to trigger it within a second.
For me "turning on sexual energy" has never gotten me any girl. therefore these days i just let things be natural and flowing. the last thing you wanna do when talking to a woman is

No, I am not writing erotic novels and do not plan to write as well, when I am sexually aroused my creativity goes through the roof, especially when I am around beautiful girls, damn!!
