I beg to differ. This myth seems to come from a cherry-picking of Peter Paul Rubens' paintings during the time of Shakespeare. Rubens's preference for painting obese women seems to stem from a personal preference rather than a social standard of female beauty. Rubens's contemporaries (Carravagio, Van Eyck, Veslaseques, Botticelli, Cranach) painted women who approximately matched the eternal ~0.7 waist:hip ratio that is still popular today.

That is hardly my thinking. It is simply a matter of having a consistent offering. If I wanted to wipe out of memory all mention of 3G, I'd have to erase the forum and start over again. You guys asked me for a 4G upgrade to PE, and I'm building it to be the best possible program at what it's supposed to do, within reasonable price and build parameters. That means I build it in 4G as a six stage set. Simple as that. The difference in price reflects the difference in generation and build difficulty. It may or may not be $199, I have yet to determine the end price. The end price is determined by various things involved in building and other things. It could be less expensive than that, and it could be more. When I finish building it, I'll calculate the best price and use whatever the calculations show is best.

3G was going away regardless of anyone giving me permission to do so. The whole point of upgrading from 3G to 4G is to have everything in 4G, except what I have built in 5G.

I think your taking this too personally Brad, I understand being in a bad mood as i've had alot of that in AM Stage 2. And he was just offering suggestions Sean.
But I don't think we need arguing like this on the forum guys.
Perhaps I made my statement too aggressively for the forums, but I think it is inappropriate to suggest to Shannon how to manage his price structures in a public forum. It's rude.

I've been driven nuts in China here with people ripping me off. Especially being white, you have to pay 10x the price all the time, grr (though sometimes if i haggle in broken Chinese I can get it to ~5x the local price, sigh). Now I felt my favourite shop here was ripping me off too, I got uptight about it. I wasn't even planning to buy it, it just hit a button inside me and pissed me off, based on all my being ripped off throughout the year getting bottled up. Then I took it out on the forum. Sorry.

I visited Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing for business a few years back. HK was great. Everyone spoke English, they were polite, and I never felt unsafe. Shanghai was less-so, but my coworkers took care of me. Beijing was nuts. The guy who was showing me around the first day was a dyed-in-the-wool Mao-worshipper, who walked me around Tienanmen Square in 45* heat when I was wearing a three-season wool suit.
Then he takes me to a store to show me a packet of "dog" meat (could have been popcorn for all I knew), and then to lunch where we at pig's ear, catfish soup that was hotter than magma, and he regaled me with how "All Chinese" worship Mao as a god.
After a week of "Mess with the white guy games", I could not wait to finish my project and GTFO. I feel for you, man.
I was staying and working in Jing'an. Shanghai was my last stop in China, and I was so freakin' homesick by that point, I wanted nothing more than to complete my work and go home. I have to say the maglev was fun, but that was it.
I work in Jing'an, that's where I am right now as I write this email. I've never been on the Maglev, though I know what it is, cos when you live in a place you never seem to find time for tourism.
You'd be amazed at the weather here recently. No smog!! wow. Usually I can't even see down the block, and the sky is a brown shade of grey. But today the sky is blue, and there's almost no smog at all. Its bizarre, but its helping with my homesickness big time, I miss clean green NZ.

Last time I was in Shanghai 2-3 years ago the smog/pollution was so strong I actually saw it was physically blocking out the sun. It was ridiculous to say the least.

Well Shannon changed his mind back. You guys got what you originally wanted so it will only be a single stage now. 19 dollars sounds nicer either way so I'm not particularly disappointed.
