From now on I will meditate 30-45 minutes before bed everyday and slightly increase my morning sits from 10-30 minutes to 45 min - 1 hour. This decision came from an insight I had yesterday when I totally surrendered to the now and accepted my thoughts and emotions, fear ceased to exist anymore and I fell asleep significantly quicker. Awareness is curative indeed.

Also, Shannon might be right about the volume being too high. Ill drop it down to 10/15.

Yay, great results already. Are you at the end of cycle 2?
May I ask what kind of meditation you do?

Thanks bro. Tomorrow will be start of cycle 2. I mostly practice Vipassana and occasionally Anapanasati.
I'm pleased to say that my strategy to improve sleep through meditation has been successful. The sleep latency has drastically improved and I can stay asleep for much longer. Occasionally I still do wake up in the middle of the night but so far its not a big issue.

I had my days with brainwave tech. They didn't do anything for me. (That doesn't mean it won't work for you) All I need is a place to sit and an intention to observe or focus on something for a set duration. Nothing fancy, just simply observing the breath or the sensations in the body. Set a timer for 1 hour and that's it. That's how I meditate.

This is an interesting coincidence because I am considering restarting BWE myself but I do not know if it would interfere with these subs. I remember Shannon writing something about it, but I cannot find it any more (my search skills suck.)
Stage 1 Cycle 4 Day 5
US FLAC ~50% volume on Bluetooth speaker

Detox has hit me hard lately. Emotions flaring up.

- felt itching all day today, especially in my arms and legs
- feeling of warmth then sudden cold while in bed
- Going for a pee more regularly and the smell of the urine is unusual
- Alots of Gas... I MEAN ALOT!
- faster recovery from workouts. I even had a minor injury in my back from kettlebell swings, went away in 2-3 days.
- slightly blocked nose
- Mild discomfort in the stomach area
- feeling of hunger more often than not, even after a heavy meal

By no means an exhaustive list. Probably more I haven't noticed.

I am also meditating more than usual, taking very cold showers.

My diet is slowly transitioning towards plant based alternatives. I no longer enjoy eating meat and the sensations in my body which accompanies it. Feels rather effortless to make this change which is unusual >.<

Work is great. Really grateful for being able to work remotely. Looking forward to outsourcing most of it so I can dedicate more time on my business

In terms of dreams, I have been put into situations where I am victim of an embarrassing or harmful event. This has happened numerous times this week. Probably some insecurities or past traumas rising to the surface.

Overall, things are great. I am starting to feel the full force of stage 1. Things are ramping up and it's clearly noticeable.
I have slept extremely poorly for last 2-3 months:

- Trouble falling asleep
- Difficulties staying asleep
- Becoming afraid of the dark
- Being afraid to go to sleep
- Waking up with mild to high levels of anxiety during the night
- More nightmares than usual
- Became more sensitive to external sounds/noises

Why has this begun to suddenly happen now? Sleep has never been an issue for me before. I can't express how frustrating this is.

I've decided to stop using LTU6 and instead try the sleep tranquilizer for 1-2 weeks.

Can't help but think could this be a sneaky mind tactic to make me avoid using subs altogether? It certainly feels that way.

I would say that instead of quitting LTUv6, you might want to supplement with OF 5.75G.  Or switch to OF 5.75G, since those symptoms obviously mean you're dealing with fear in response to LTUv6.  Tranquilizer B won't be the solution you're hoping for, most likely. But giving up on LTUv6 isn't how you achieve your goals.

Please, my friend, do yourself a favor: follow Shannon’s advice and do not give up. All those ‘side effects’ must mean that some big, deep issue is being attacked. All your symptoms (can’t sleep / afraid / afraid again / anxiety / nightmares / possibly hyper vigilant), obviously scream fear.

Shannon, how does one supplement OF to LTU?

I would hate to disagree. @fab10  @Shannon . My intention was never to quit LTU having had amazing results in the past. However, my work performance during the day is stagnating and I've started to feel increasingly depressed and anxious due to poor sleep. I'm wondering if there is a more "smooth" or effective way to go about this.

- Should I just plough through it anyway?
- I am willing to experiment with OF, how should I go about it? I bought Sleep Tranquilliser yesterday night out of sheer desperation but perhaps this was a mistake. Is it possible to get a refund or replace with OF?

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Why don’t you send @Benjamin a PM? He might be able to swap Tranquilizer for OF right away. Was it already delivered?

Unfortunately, the nature of digital media is such that we cannot do "swaps" because we cannot know for sure that you deleted all copies of the one you bought.  If you haven't downloaded it yet, then I don't see a problem with swapping it, but if you have downloaded it, then I would suggest you try using Tranquilizer B as the first track in your playlist and then running your normal LTU loops.  That may help, but giving up on LTU isn't the right choice.

If you do not get the desired results from that it would be because the fear is too high for Tranquilizer B to overcome.   In that case, I would suggest supplementing LTU with OF.  Basically what that does is it boosts the amount of FRM you get exposed to, which will help.

I have had to supplement LTUv6 with OF for my GF a couple times when she was actively facing her fears, such as the fear of crashing my car if she were to drive it.  The first time, when she was extremely anxious and upset, I played it all night long on one of our days off LTU and then in the moment while I was getting her used to driving my car.

I suggest that perhaps a loop of OF at the beginning of your playlist for the night may be helpful, and you may find it helpful to have the first and last loops be OF 5.75G if that still isn't enough.

If even that isn't enough, I would play it during the day and use LTU at night, or vice versa.  Both for the standard number of loops each.  It will tax your mind heavily to run both, but they will be synergistic.  This is one of those very rare cases where you can use both at once.
Since starting LTU6, I've been feeling alot of fear.

I would wake up in the middle of the night experiencing profound terror and sometimes even a panic attack.

I've become increasingly afraid of the dark and being alone.

Despite all the above, I've managed to persist my exposure to the sub. I am now moving into stage 4. I may have skipped a few days here and there but overall listening has been consistent.

My intuition tells me that this fear is a form of self-deception or sneaky resistance tactic to stop me from evolving. I just hope that things start to improve from now on.

I feel like I have changed since starting but I can't put a finger on exactly what has changed.

What's certain is that I won't give up. But man... it's getting really hard now.
Hang in there bro, fear is an ugly beast and it is getting more aggressive to you because and you have it cornered. Shannon said several times that with this generation fear will eventually lose. Have you considered supplementing with OF as Shannon suggested?
