This whole website has excellent courses.

Some beginner courses: https://deals.makeuseof.com/sales/pwyw-m...-in-python

You want to eventually learn to read the documents, which I'm still in the process of learning.

Thanks.  I keep telling myself I'm going to learn python, but then I get lost trying.

That's not a pirated products website, is it?  The price differences make it look like one to me.

No, it's something like a syndicated platform where you can buy products from other sites. A lot of them come from StackSocial. You'll see the same product sold across other sites.
MakeUseOf is a tech blog site akin to LifeHacker.

Enjoy!

Thanks for adding. A lot of the concepts in some of these seem interesting, so I've enrolled.
Always something new and exciting to learn.
Day 38,

I'm starting to remove clutter and distractions from my life. I've used AdBlocker to block YouTube comments, recommended videos, and any YouTube algorithm that can distract me. I now watch videos that I'm looking for only.

I took advantage of this long weekend to make some major strides in my Python project, to where I think that I'm 95-97% finished on my version 1.0. I don't think that I'll be doing many upgrades, besides additional features that will make other elements of my job go smoother.

I'm going to be reaching out to a Business Mentorship program in a few weeks to get a business going. This will happen once I finish the Python project.

I might have a date with a 10/10 woman; she didn't any my texts a few weeks ago. I chatted with her briefly at the gym this week, so I called her yesterday and asked her to grab a drink. She agreed to Tuesday evening. I'll call tomorrow noon to confirm.
Nice! Keep up the great progress Big Grin
The 10/10 cancelled our drink date. Said that she has 'way way way too much to do' tonight.
She does 11 hour drives back and forth between two cities for her job, so I'll cut her some slack, but I'm going to guess that she might be trying to politely exit the situation.

I offered a raincheck. We'll see.
Day 53

Just about finished a major personal computer programming project. I just need to iron out the bugs. Then I'll add a couple of modules, then turn my attention to building a business.
Day 57,

Something is changing internally..
I've made a (mostly internal) list of little inconveniences that keep happening in my life;
(1) I keep making trips from my desk to the garbage;
(2) I have a lot of clutter on my bathroom sink;
(3) My wardrobe is disorganized, with a bunch of different styles of clothes hangers for various clothing types.
(4) I only have one item for every thing I use often, and in many places; a comb, eye drops, etc.
(5) My car is a bit messy, with a full garbage;
(6) My bathroom's toilet brush is flimsy and the brush keeps snapping off the handle; I have to keep screwing it back on in the toilet water.
(7) My belts are all rolled up, which busy up my counter place;
(8) My backpack is all dusty and gross;
(9) My work desk was full of paper, dusty, and the floor was messy;
(10) The spokes of my dinner chair at breakfast kept un-sticking and separating while I sit on it on breakfast; I keep having to stop what I'm doing, and lean over to re-attach the pieces.

The last 2 days, I've been systematically going through that list and knocking off the items in this list.
The best part is that it was something that I wanted to do, and didn't feel any resistance in doing. And so:
(1) I moved a small garbage bin from next to my bed to next to my desk;
(2) I bought a small container to store small items on my sink;
(3) I put all of my clothes on the same type of clothing hanger, and put my blazers onto wooden hangers.
(4) I bought a comb lol. I might buy more sets of eye drops.
(5) I went to a gas station with a vacuuming station and cleaned out my car, wiped the dashboard, and emptied the trash;
(6) I bought a new toilet brush.
(7) I just bought a belt hanger;
(8) I'm in the process of cleaning out my backpack;
(9) I cleared out all the unnecessary paper from my desk, wiped everything down, and asked maintenance to pass the mop;
(10) I used a bungee cord to keep the spokes together.

Furthermore, I:
(11) Took inventory of the things in my apartment that is either unnecessary or not useful to keep out, and I've been organizing that;
(12) I went to a thrift-store and bought two new blazers - one is more of an autumn coat - and one new set of slick dress pants, along with three versatile dress shirts, all for 82 dollars. But, I might have fucked up the pants by trying to cold machine wash on gentle cycle; it's looking a bit patchy, but it might be wet/dry patches;
(13) Attended a voice lesson, catching up with my previous voice teacher.
(14) Gave my number to a cute woman who did my check out at the thrift store where I bought my clothes. I might have freaked her out a bit based on her reaction LOL. Who knows if she'll reach out.

In the future, I'm going to:
(15) Clear out the contents of my laptop storage; Sam Ovens (see below) has a philosophy that your actions get mirrored back to you. If you torrent, look for freebies, and rip off others, you'll find that people are willing to look for freebies and try to rip you off. So, I'll either remove it from my hard drive, or keep it on, but buy whatever I want to keep, either digitally or paper-back.
(16) I've been getting the urge to cut my hair really short, just to make it much simpler to manage. Right now, putting on a t-shirt can mess up my hair. Also, my scalp is thinning - and that process is accelerating thanks to Rogaine - so having long hair with thinning hair will look strange over time;
(17) Tag all the clothes that I want to improve upon, and take them to the tailors to hem. I'll also take my dry-cleaning lesson seriously.

I've been listening to a lot of (business owner) Sam Ovens, and am over 50% through Psycho-Cybernetics; I like their philosophies and will be applying these concepts to continue growing and developing.
Day 58,

My dress pants turned out fine.

Something that I've written in my journal:

- "I do not lose power for expressing interest in things, people, and relationships."
- "I do not lose power for having interests in, and participating in, activities which benefit others, as long as it does not occur at my own expense - I get to choose whether that's the case.

For a while, I've resisting taking part in activities which I believed disproportionately benefited others; going to Walmart, following the cultural trends, paying for a date. It turns out, as long as I'm satisfied with the benefits that I receive from it, I don't need to cut myself off from it just because the ratio of benefiting is something like 40:60 or 30:70 in the favor of Walmart, the media tycoons, or the woman I just took out on a date.

Turns out that the benefits of participating (30 or 40 points) in some lob-sized aspects of society surpass withdrawal from them (0 points). The latter attitude simply smells of faux-boycott.
Day 61,

It's no wonder that, after I cleaned up my apartment and some of the details of my life, that I've been able to finish my personal programming project. I have a couple more modules to add for extra productivity, and some optimization of the reports, but I'm very satisfied with what I've been able to accomplish.

I leave for Germany in two days. I need to pack for my trip.
I've gotten a few matches and responses on dating sites in Berlin for the 2-3 days that I'm there. Two of them want to me. A third told me to message as the date approaches.

First thing I thought to myself when I started reading that list that you are probably listening to Sam Owens stuff  Oui
Bottom part confirmed it.
Nice work, seems like you're developing lots of self-awareness, most of people just go on auto-pilot through their days.
Day 94,

A few things have changed since my last post:

- I signed up for a business mastermind course/community that teaches you how to sell high-price freelance services. I chose copywriting because I'm familiar with creative writing and I've studied copywriting in the past.
- I made my first 250 USD sale. The mastermind stresses the sale of minimum 1,000 USD services. I've got some work to do.
- A large portion of my time away from my day job is spent on building this business.
- I vibed with a nursing student at my work. She's 24. My good colleague was her preceptor. I found out that she finished her internship earlier this week, so I messaged her on Facebook. We scheduled a first coffee date yesterday. Then that turned into a walk, then we kissed on a lookout point, then we made out in her car, then we got burritos, then we had (very good) sex at my place. We're going out for supper this Saturday.
