Haha, couldn't help myself.
(04-19-2019, 05:08 AM)Superman Wrote: [ -> ]Update: still running the sub and generally feeling more content on a daily basis. Not sure what else to really expect from this sub since all the changes are internal. There won't be too much in terms of external confirmation that it's working. I do wish LTU had a slight bit more in regards to the financial improvement aspect.
Does it not incorporate USLM4? Is not USLM4 a "set your own goals" type of sub? Does this not mean that you can set financial goals using LTU5?
Believe me, you'll know it's working once you get to a certain point of progress with it.
Having a difficult time with life right now. Work is really stressful and I hate my job. I got an offer for a new position at a new company but it's not exactly convenient for me. The position is good and the pay is decent, but getting there is really inconvenient for me. I'm getting a few other interviews, but nothing too promising.
My health isn't doing so great lately either. I'm having some issues that are really worrying me and I should probably see a doctor soon.
My listening to the sub has been less consistent recently but I still try to get the loops in every night.
Having very little free time for myself and life is just beating me down right now.

I hope your health is doing well and it is nothing too serious.

Thank you for your concern, I really appreciate it.
I just wanted to confirm something. I'm the type of person who doesn't like being told what to do. I'm more inclined to do something if I come to it on my own time and thoughts, and more likely to not do it or have resentment if I'm told to do it instead.
So which type of sub format would be best for me? So far I prefer ultrasonic and hybrid trickling stream.

Usually, masked format is interpreted as being the least "commanding" because it uses the lowest volume. It isn't always the format that works best for people who dislike "being told what to do", but more often than not, it's the one they get results from. At least that has been the case in the past.
But only through experimentation on your own are you going to learn what format is best for you, because there are always variables that change things.
Trying the masked format now. It's hitting me like a tonne of bricks.
Listened to masked for two nights and both nights I've woken in the middle of the night drenched in sweat
Would you say that's progress?
Hopefully I'll be able to make the process much easier in 4.6+

Well I can't say for sure if it's progress just yet, but I know its doing something. I'll continue using only the masked format. I can only imagine how much more effective it would be if I could use stereo speakers while I sleep.
The only way to use stereo for me is to use earbuds/headphones while awake. While Im asleep I move too much to keep them in so I play from my phone speaker.
I'm starting to lose faith in subs. I'm still listening but more out of habit and routine and I like the sound of water, than actually seeing the benefits.
Overall since beginning the sub I guess I can say that my baseline for happiness and contentment is higher than it was before. I'm less influenced from external things, and I'm easily annoyed of people with self defeating and negative attitudes.
I guess that's what the sub was supposed to do but I'm not really sure what I was expecting. Not a bad thing but not amazingly life altering either
I've fallen out of the routine, I've been listening on and off to LTU. I think I prefer masked format. Life hasn't improved a whole lot, but my mind and thought process has changed. I see things with an open mind more objectively than I did before. I feel more mature and level headed.
I really want to start listening to UMS but I'm really not in a good position financially. I know its sort of contradictory, I dont want to spend money on something that could potentially help my situation because i think the cost is high. Well I don't think the cost is too high, but it's not a neccessity especially when you're trying to cut costs and spend less on luxuries.
I think the draw towards UMS may win out in a few days or so, also the ASRB balance is really appealing, but I think it may be challenging to overcome my "more listening is better" mentality. I think all those loops from Gen 4 and early gen 5 subs may have given us bad listening habits. I like the set and forget rules. I used to have AM6 playing on a speaker in my room 24/7 and got my exposure that way. for a sub like UMS i'll have consciously plan and scehdule my listening..
We will see what happens over the next week
I found myself browsing amazon today for the prime day sales, then I stopped and said to myself "if I'm willing to spend money on useless things from amazon. Then I have enough to buy UMS."
Then I bought UMS, lol.
That's much more useful than amazon!
