What format and volume are you using?

My original run was primarily hybrid at 3/15 on my iPhone as any higher and I’d start to feel pain from my ears after prolonged exposure. Listening to the ocean surf specifically.

Now I’m trying masked and the volume is, I think somewhere around 5 or 6 out of 15 on my iPhone? Not sure but louder than the hybrid and much more comfortable if I turn it up. Huh, I didn’t realize I’d setup trickling stream with the masked version on my phone, so that’s what I’m listening to on my current run, if it makes a difference?

Day 96
My dog seems to be doing better but I’m still nervous. Can’t tell if she’s low energy because she’s recovering, the anesthesia, or if she’s in bad condition for something related but not directly tied to what’s happening. Did meet with friends about board game. Although we didn’t finish due to time, we did have some fun and I got to pull off a weird but cool trick in the board game.
Edit: my autocorrect really hates this site and my typing on my phone seems to get laggy after a bit when I do a full reply for some reason.

If you are having pain in your ears from hybrid, there are two possible reasons.

1. Your ears re extremely sensitive to ultrasonic audio.
2. Your subconscious is causing you pain to get you to stop doing what would work.

Unless you were listening to hybrid on headphones, I can't imagine that your ears could possibly hurt at a volume of greater than 3/16, and even then that trikes me as significantly odd.  Based on what I know so far, I think it is very likely that you are having a self sabotage situation in which your subconscious is causing ear pain to prevent you from using it at a reasonable volume to actually get results.

So to clarify this, I need to know how you are listening: earphones?  iPhone speakers?  playing it on an iPhone, but connected to external speakers?

And what is the highest volume you can handle with masked format?

As mentioned previously, I only listen with headphones. I also would believe I might be sensitive to ultrasonic with how negative my reaction was to it when I tried it a few years ago (following the instructions of using the masked to balance did not work for me and always felt too loud with headaches coming with it if I persisted) and the fact I am a person incredibly sensitive to sound. I still have trouble understanding sometimes why people aren’t bothered by some older TVs and their high pitch whining noise when they’re on. Or why UCLA’s Law Library never fixed the damned scanner at the exit (that checks for if you’re taking out books improperly and make noises if you do so) because the one side releases a high pitch whining sound that more than once gave me a headache based on my brief exposure while leaving.
Day 98
It’s weird when you wake up with a vague bad premonition and you don’t know why. What’s worse is when your bad feeling turns into reality. My dog is dead. I’m probably not going to be responding for a few days.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be able to respond to your above post soon. In the mean time, my condolences.

Sorry to hear about your dog.  That's tough.
Sorry about your !dog. That is rough! Take care.
That really sucks man. My deepest condolences for your loss.
Day 101

The last couple of days have not been as rough as that first day. Part of that is probably the sub helping me process and I notice the edge of noticing certain habits related to my dog do not cut as deep as I expected. I also think the sub's working because damn am I tired every day even with extra hours of sleep.

I still think I've been having what feels like nothing but relatively bad luck (then again, I don't think anyone could say they've had good luck with what happened to my dog). Speculation is either the sub has focusing on the other goals which are more subtle (like I don't feel as stressed as I expected to be. There are moments of sadness but they're usually not overwhelming like the first day) or I've just been mentally focused on the parts my mind is actually resisting, giving myself the illusion it's not working.

Shannon if you have any other questions, let me know and I'll try to answer. Also, is it possible to twist the good luck part of the sub into resisting by making it bad luck? I could really use some good luck.

Edit: Something else I noticed was that I was able to look at the old photos of her and they didn't cause me to break down. I actually smiled at all the good old memories. It felt really good to be able to do that.
Lately I am noticing that everyone seems to be going through a lot of shit. I am, my girlfriend is, my uncle did, my youngest cousin, my other uncle, his wife, two of my other cousins, and a number of my friends. So I think it may be that we are all dealing with something that is affecting us all at once. I haven't looked to see if it's some sort of cycle, but I know it's not one that was like the last one if it is.

That said, it is possible that you might be reverse resisting the USLM script in LTU5, but that strikes me as being unlikely if you're executing the rest of it... I can't say for sure what is what.
Day 103

Well, not much has happened the last couple of days except I finally contacted the PCP my insurance assigned me and have an appointment on Monday. I did this earlier in the week but I bring it up because I picked up the new patient package. If the fact I was told multiple times I need to fill everything out is any indication then I’m going to need to contact my insurance about a new PCP because I refuse to sign a mandatory arbitration agreement for malpractice. I’ll find out on Monday when I go for my appointment if it’s required.

Otherwise, nothing really new other than tonight’s TTRPG game was cancelled and we spent an inordinate amount of time finding somewhere to eat for dinner. The final decision decided semi-randomly was not the best result. Still feels like I have bad luck. I also forgot to call for another checkup about that law job. My suspicion is that the county has been dragging its feet until the new year’s budget which happens in July. Hopefully when I call in Monday, I’ll hear good things or confirm my hypothesis.
Day 107

Started feeling kind of bad today after lunch. Also, the Doctor appointment was cancelled yesterday as I expected. Need to call my insurance tomorrow since I forgot today to change my PCP. Otherwise, I've been feeling more tired for a while now. I can't tell if it's the sub, a bout of depression because of the loss, not enough sleep. or something else.
Remind me which format and volume you're using, please?
