New to this so please bear with me...
I've been listening to ultrasonic track (of ASC) on my laptop speakers running Windows 10. I've read several posts stating to use Frequensee to check for proper dB range (Frequensee is not made for Windows 10, but I downloaded a similar program).
The free speaker test offered here did what it should, and I see that my speakers look to be in the 20Hz to 20kHz range. The attached screen shots show the sub operates within the 15kHz to 20kHz, so I think I'm good with having the proper speakers.
My confusion is: I am unclear whether I have the correct Volume setting. Adjusting the Volume or Equalizer has no effect on the attached graphs. (Note, I set my Equalizer to Jazz as it was mentioned Shannon seems to get best results from this setting).
Only adjusting the GAIN moves the dB levels up or down. So my question is: what is the proper Volume, Gain and Equalizer setting I need for optimal ultrasonic listening? See below screen shots for -30dB, 0dB, and 30dB respectively.
